Saxophonist Gene Hardy also performs on violin, theramin & musical saw! His broad experience includes over 20 years as a leader & a side-man touring the USA, Canada & Europe, and has been a contributing editor to CANADIAN MUSICIAN's Woodwind column since 1993.

He has performed & recorded with literally hundreds of groups including: The Barenaked Ladiers, Big Sugar, Colin James, the Lincolns, the Rheostatics, Ronnie Hawkins, Big Rude Jake, Kevin Quain and the Mad Bastards, Dutch Mason, Michael Buble, The Bourbon Tabernacle Choir, and the Downchild Blues Band. Gene was nominated as HORN PLAYER OF THE YEAR at The 2001 and 2003 Maple Blues Awards.
