Jack
Zorawski
Bassist
Jack Zorawski’s career started in his native
Poland where he joined the traditional jazz group "The
Dixie Lovers", a group that received numerous awards
and appeared in several festivals in Poland, Germany and France.
Later,
Jack moved to Toronto and began his musical career in Canada. He
has performed with many of the stars Canada's jazz scene, including
Bernie Senensky, Brian Dickinson, Norman Marshal Vilnueve,
Kirk MacDonald and Peter Appleyard. Jack
has performed at Jazz Festivals throughout Canada, including Montreal,
Waterloo, Toronto, Oakville and Markham.
In
1998 Jack joined the swing revival group "Big Rude
Jake". The band toured Canada and United States, and
performed in such famous venues as "Fillmore’s"
in San Francisco, "The House of Blues"
in Los Angeles and Chicago, and “CBGB’s”
in New York. The band also toured Europe and made appearances
at jazz and blues festivals in Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium,
and Switzerland. In recent years Jack has concentrated on composition
and leading his own group. |
